The alert comes after U.S. and Israeli airstrikes killed Khamenei and other high-ranking Iranian officials.

In retaliation, Iran has fired missiles at U.S. military bases in Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, escalating tensions in the region.

President Donald Trump, speaking during the strikes, said his objective was to eliminate members of the Iranian regime and called on citizens to take control of the Iranian government once the operation concluded.
