UCL: Potter Names New Penalty Taker For Chelsea

Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, has confirmed that Kai Havertz is the team’s new penalty taker after Jorginho left for Aresnal in January.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, Jorginho converted 27 of the 31 spot-kicks he took when he was in Chelsea.

Ahead of their big encounter against Borussia Dortmund, Potter has revealed that Havertz is the best choice to replace him.

“The players are always practising penalties. We are prepared for the eventuality and possibility [of a penalty shootout].

“We want to win it before that but if not then we will be prepared to go through in that way. Kai is our penalty taker in the absence of Jorginho,” Potter said.

Havertz has so far scored six goals in 32 appearances for Chelsea this campaign.
