Rangers, with Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers in action, advanced to the play-off round of this season’s UEFA Champions League, eliminating Swiss club Servette.
During Tuesday’s second-leg clash in the third qualifying round, Rangers secured a 1-1 draw against Servette, progressing with a 3-2 aggregate score.

Dessers’ Nigerian teammate, Leon Balogun, remained an unused substitute for Rangers.

In the 61st minute of the game, the former Cremonese striker, Dessers, was brought onto the field.
Dessers had previously netted Rangers’ second goal in the first leg, which concluded 2-1 in favour of the Scottish giants.

Next up for Rangers is a play-off against PSV.
The first leg is scheduled for August 22, followed by the return leg on August 30.
