UEFA Fines Jude Bellingham for Gesture, Suspends Him with Probation

Jude Bellingham

UEFA has decided to fine England midfielder Jude Bellingham for an inappropriate gesture he made after scoring in their 2-1 win over Slovakia at Euro 2024. Bellingham has also received a suspended ban.

The Real Madrid star made the lewd gesture after his dramatic late equalizer, later explaining that it was an “inside joke.”

In a statement on Friday, UEFA announced: “The English Football Association player Jude Bellingham is fined €30,000 and suspended for one UEFA competition match for violating basic rules of decent conduct. The suspension is not immediately enforced and is subject to a probationary period of one year, starting from the date of this decision.”
