A drastic action has been taken concerning a judge accused of modern day slavery.

The judge was accused of bringing a Ugandan woman to Europe for the purpose of domestic slavery.
Lydia Mugambe, a United Nations judge has been sentenced to jail after being found guilty of trafficking and slavery.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that Mugambe, the 50-year-old accused was said to have secured the Visa and passport for the victim, bringing her into the UK.

The incident came into limelight after the police discovered she had a young Ugandan woman working in her house without pay, an offence which is contravene the European law.
Lydia Mugambe, who is also a High Court Judge in Uganda was studying for her PhD in Law in the university of Oxford before she was arrested and arraigned in March.
She was arraigned and sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday after being found guilty of modern day slavery offences.
During the hearing, the presiding judge, David Foxton said the defendant “showed absolutely no remorse” for her actions and she had looked to “forcibly blame” the victim for what happened.
It was gathered that the Mugambe arranged a visa for the lady, under the guise that she would work as a private servant at the diplomatic residence of John Mugerwa, Uganda’s former deputy high commissioner based at the country’s embassy in London.
The judge, Mr Foxton, who described the case as a very sad one proceeded to sentenced Lydia Mugambe to six years and four months Imprisonment for the crimes.
