Also, 15 former students had their certificates withdrawn after failing to honor repeated invitations from the disciplinary committee.

Nine students were cleared of wrongdoing, while 33 others received official warnings for infractions such as hostel racketeering, fighting, and conspiracy.

Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, stressed the university’s commitment to a safe, disciplined, and conducive learning environment.

He applauded the thorough work of the disciplinary committee and urged students to maintain responsible conduct, warning that violations of academic integrity would attract strict sanctions.

“The academic integrity of the University is sacrosanct, and we will continue to enforce our rules while guiding students toward responsible citizenship and excellence,” he said.

The University also plans to strengthen counselling, orientation, and engagement programmes to prevent future infractions and promote disciplined academic conduct.
