anned one of the suspects associated to the reported sexual abuse and gruesome murder of Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa.
Uwaila is a 100-Level student of the prestigious University of Benin, who was gang-raped and murdered in a Redeem Christian Church of God in the Ikpoba Hill area of the ancient city.
The arrest was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the Edo police command, Chidi Nwabuzor on Tuesday.
The Police Spokesman stated that the suspect apprehended as a result of fingerprints retrieved from the fire extinguisher allegedly used to bash the victims face after forensic examination.
The suspect was picked up after the Ikpoba Hill Area Commander swung into action after mobilizing his men.
