UNIPORT Final Year Student Stabs Girlfriend to Death During Fight | Daily Report Nigeria

Victor Ochonogor, a boyfriend to one Success Regha has reportedly stabbed the latter to death in Edo State.10, Osahon Street, Ogheghe Quarters, off Sapele Road, Benin City.

Ochonogor stabbed Regha to death on Monday at 10 Osahon Street, Ogheghe Ward, near Sapele Road, Benin City.

Both lovers were said to have locked themselves in his home when violence broke out and began stabbing each other.

State Police Commissioner Muhammed Dankwara disclosed at a press conference on Tuesday.

According to Danwara, the suspect’s landlord identified as Emmanuel Momoh reported the incident to police.

Ochonogor was said to have stabbed his lover of 3 years in the neck and chest with a knife.

While speaking with reporters, the suspect confessed that the deceased had visited Benin from Asaba.

He affirmed that she accused him of being a kidnapper which was why he committed the crime.

He said:
I have been dating her for three years now and she accused me of being a kidnapper. I asked her why she was accusing me of being a kidnapper.”

Ochonogor was also identified as a final-year student of Applied and Industrial Chemistry at the University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT. He is 24-years-old.

Success is said to be the daughter of Mr. Ochuko Regha, a Director in the Ministry of Economic Planning in Delta State.

She was said to have visited Ochonogor in Benin from her school, Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma.

Success was a final year student and recently defended her project barely a week prior to the incident.
