The Lagos state police command have arrested 8 suspects in relation to a recent cult clash in the state.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that a student of Yaba College of Technology, Yabatech was reportedly shot dead in the school premises by suspected rival cult group members.

In recent news, the Tactical team under the Lagos state police command have, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 arrested 8 suspects over the gruesome killing.
The suspects are identified as: Adeyemo Abdulsamad ‘m’ aged 24, aka Cloud, Afeez Enitan ‘m’ aged 28, Ayomide Daniel ‘m’ aged 30, Olamilekan Adeagbo ‘m’ aged 26 aka Skinny, Mayor Samson ‘m’ aged 28, Basit Ishola ‘m’ aged 20, Quadri Sikiru ‘m’ aged 26, and Mariam Salihu ‘F’ aged 23.
Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin noted that exhibits recovered from them include different berets with cult logo/symbols, axes, one Beretta pistol, four 9mm ammunition, one cartridge, two battle axes, and two cutlasses.
He also enjoined members of the public to reach out to the police if they notice any unusual activities.

Five people have bagged death sentences, after being convicted of multiple crimes.
The convicts were said to have robbed and killed in Ekiti state.
