The Lagos state police command has spoken up, following news of hundreds of Boko haram members arrested in Lagos.

This comes after CJTF reported that hundreds of Boko haram insurgents were arrested in different areas of Lagos state.
A statement from the office of the Lagos state police command has debunked claims of Boko haram insurgents arrested in Lagos state.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls a statement issued by the CJTF, stating that over a thousand Boko haram members fleeing the North were arrested in Lagos state.
Reacting to this, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin noted that the claim is false and misleading, adding that it only instills fear in the mind of residents.
He added that no such arrest was made across the state, as operatives of the police command visited the trailer parks and other areas mentioned in the report, and were met with community leaders and motor park drivers, who confirmed that no such thing happened in the area.
“The outcome of the investigation reveals that there is nowhere throughout Lagos State that the group mentioned in the report – Boko Haram – was seen, sighted, or arrested,”
Therefore, the report in its entirety is false, malicious, and ill-intended to cause fear and apprehension in the minds of the public,”
The command further urged residents to disregard such claims, stating that it is false, while also reassuring of its continued vigilance and commitment to ensuring safety and security throughout Lagos State.
