Updated: Resident Doctors Suspend Strike Action

The National Association of Resident Doctors has announced that the suspension of its strike action will take effect from Monday, June 22 , 2020.

The organisation said the decision was taken in order to give the government more time to fulfill it’s outstanding demands.

This decision is following an appeal by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation , Boss Mustapha, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors ’ Forum and other stakeholders.

This announcement was made by NARD in a communique read to Journalists by it’s President, Dr . Aliyu Sokomba, after its National Executive Council meeting attended by over 300 members on Sunday, in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
