US Govt Donates Equipment Worth $325,000 To Nigeria Police To Help Fight Boko Haram

As an aid to restore civilian authority and counter insurgency operations in areas affected by Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East, the United States Government has donated equipments worth $325,000 to the Nigeria Police Force.


The donation was initiated by the Office of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement of the US Embassy.


The donation for the 500 officers of the Mobile Police Force currently serving in Borno state includes googles, bulletproof protective helmets and vests, and 20 ballistic shields.


Other equipments include mosquito nets, first-aid boxes, foldable mattresses, heavy-duty flashes, tents and other hygiene products.
