The United States Chamber of Commerce has invited President Bola Tinubu to ring the closing bell of the NASDAQ on Wednesday, September 20.

NASDAQ, the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations, was a renowned stock exchange market located in New York, US.

It held the distinction of being the most active stock trading venue in the US by volume, second only to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in terms of market capitalization.

The ringing of the closing bell signified the conclusion of a trading session.

NASDAQ said the ceremony “symbolises the significance of the economic ties between the United States and Nigeria.

“We hope this celebration and the discussion as part of the U.S.-Nigeria Executive Business Dialogue serve to further strengthen economic ties and enhance collaboration between the U.S. and Nigerian business communities.”

The esteemed ceremony will take place at NASDAQ headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
