A United States lawmaker, Riley Moore, has presented a report on the alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria to Donald Trump at the White House.

Moore disclosed this in a post on X on Monday, stating that the report on alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria had been submitted to the White House following a fact-finding mission by a US delegation.

“Just presented our report on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria to the White House,” Moore wrote while sharing a photograph of himself holding the document. “More to come.”

The submission follows a previous visit by Moore and other members of a US delegation to Nigeria as part of a fact-finding mission on religious violence and security challenges.

The report comes amid ongoing claims of alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria — allegations the administration of Bola Tinubu has consistently denied.

Trump had previously redesignated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern over religious freedom concerns.

The US president also reportedly ordered airstrikes against terrorists in Sokoto on Christmas Day as part of efforts to address insecurity.
