In a recent statement, VeryDarkMan clarified that Mirabel cannot legally be arrested for false accusationbecause she did not accuse any specific individual of wrongdoing.

According to him, for a false accusation case to exist under the law, there must be a clearly named person who was wrongly accused.

“You cannot arrest someone for false accusation if there is no particular person that was accused,” he said.

He further explained that while Mirabel may not face charges for false accusation, authorities could still look into whether she spread false information, which is treated differently under the law.

VeryDarkMan noted that false accusation is a serious offence that can attract severe punishment when proven.

“False accusation carries a penalty of up to seven years imprisonment or an option of fine, but that only applies when a clearly identified person is involved,” he explained.

His comments have triggered renewed debate online, with many social media users discussing the legal difference between false accusation and misinformation, and whether public figures should be more careful with unverified claims.

Some commenters also questioned the role of social media in amplifying controversies without proper understanding of the law.
