Veteran Nollywood actor Abiodun Ayoyinka has officially dropped his long-standing ‘Papa Ajasco’ identity and adopted a new stage name, Bondu Alaska.
The development follows a public dispute with Wale Adenuga, founder of Wale Adenuga Productions, over ownership rights to the iconic Papa Ajasco brand.

In a video shared online, the actor introduced himself under his new name and expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support during recent public attention.
He said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, good morning Nigerians. My name is Bondu Alaska. The one and only Bondu Alaska.”

Ayoyinka added, “I want to use this medium to thank Nigerians because they have done a lot in my life. I’m a new person now, and I promise that I will not let you down.”
Explaining his decision, the actor said he could no longer use the ‘Papa Ajasco’ name for commercial purposes as it is legally owned by the production company.
He also disclosed that despite portraying the character for years, he did not enjoy the expected financial benefits.
