The meeting, held at the State House in Abuja, was conveyed by Shettima based on a directive by President Bola Tinubu to address the challenges in the oil and gas industry, particularly the current pricing and scarcity issues.
Briefing journalists after the meeting, Lokpobiri said President Tinubu is concerned about the developments in the energy sector and is sympathetic to the plight of Nigerians. He stated that the President has mandated them to take action to ensure stability in fuel supply and pricing.
Lokpobiri assured Nigerians that measures are being put in place to ensure that petroleum products are accessible across the country, and that the government’s goal is to ensure that fuel becomes more accessible, which will ultimately help stabilize prices.
