Victony Reacts to Claims About His Album’s Success

1 Min Read

Afrobeats singer Victony, whose real name is Anthony Victor, has dismissed claims that his debut album, Stubborn, failed commercially due to a lack of social media controversy.

Some users suggested that his album’s lack of “haters” posting negative comments was the reason it didn’t trend.

He responded by calling these assumptions “dumb” and pointed out that such expectations are unrealistic given his current status in the music industry.

On his X handle, he wrote: “Lmao, Victony needs more haters? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve seen. What’s the rush? Does everyone want to be Rema and Asake in two hours?”
