Victor Osimhen is on track to make a comeback just in time for Napoli’s upcoming Serie A clash against Atalanta this weekend.
Osimhen was sidelined for Napoli’s recent 1-1 draw with Inter Milan before the international break due to fitness issues, and Nigeria didn’t include him in their squad for friendlies against Ghana and Mali as he sought to regain full fitness.
However, there’s positive news as the 25-year-old forward participated in partial team training at Napoli’s Konami Training Centre on Wednesday, indicating progress in his recovery.
It’s anticipated that Osimhen will be included in Napoli’s squad for the forthcoming game against Atalanta, bolstering their attacking options.
With an impressive record of 11 goals in 17 Serie A appearances this season, Osimhen’s return could provide a significant boost for the reigning champions as they prepare to host Atalanta at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Saturday.
