Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has revealed that Victor Osimhen has made it clear he no longer wants to play for the club.
Osimhen was unable to secure a move away from Napoli on transfer deadline day. Despite strong interest from Chelsea and Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli, the transfers fell through.
On Saturday, Napoli removed Victor Osimhen from their Serie A squad and took away his number nine shirt.

Manna commented, “The situation has been clear since the end of last season. Victor expressed his strong desire to leave Napoli, and we tried to accommodate his wishes.”
He added, “We had hoped to finalize a transfer, but the deal didn’t go through. We signed Lukaku and retained Raspadori and Simeone, which was not guaranteed.”
Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, but he might still secure a move to Saudi Arabia, as the transfer window there remains open.
