The Burutu Loca Government arm of the More For Delta Youths, a supporters group of Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated their principal on his emergence as governor-elect of Delta State.
The Speaker of the Delta State Assembly was declared winner of last Saturday’s governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday.
Oborevwori, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 360,234 votes ahead of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 240,299 votes.

The lawmaker was subsequently declared governor-elect after winning 21 out 25 local government areas in the state, as Omo-Agege emerged victorious in 4.
Reacting to the development, the MFDY described Oborevwori’s win at the poll as a victory for all Deltans.
Speaking to our correspondent shortly after the declaration, the Burutu Coordinator of MYFD, Comrade Ayoromiegha Williams, attributed the outcome of the poll as a loud statement of the people.
Ayoromiegha maintained that Oborevwori’s administration will fall nothing short of it’s MORE agenda while assuring that the state is in safe hands.
He said;
“Congratulations to our principal. This is a victory for all Deltans. The people have spoken their will and we have heard them.
“Our assurance remains that nothing short of the MORE Agenda will be delivered to the people.
“The governor-elect already assured Deltans of consolidating on the success of the outgoing administration.
“There is no gainsaying that Delta is in safe hands with Sheriff Oborevwori.”
