Video: Lawmakers Who Abandoned Obaseki Beg For Forgiveness

Fourteen members of the Edo State House of Assembly who allegedly took bribe of N50 million work against Governor Godwin Obaseki in the recent elections in the state have returned, begging for forgiveness.

Recall that an impeachment plot was hatched against Obaseki as part of events that preceded the election proper.

Though the impeachment plot was foiled, the lawmakers continued on a project to ruin the governor’s re-election bid.

However, Governor Obaseki won the governorship election against all odds, flooring Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressive Congress, who the plotters worked and campaigned for to win.
