Chairman Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume has opined that repentant members of the Boko Haram terrorist group who are reintegrated into society serve as informants to the sect.
The lawmaker said this while reiterating his opposition on the move by Federal Government’s rehabilitate and reintegrate repentant members of the Boko Haram sect into society.

Senator Ndume emphatically alleged that repentant Boko Haram terrorists serve as informants who inform the sect of the Nigerian Army’s movement.

Ndume has consistently condemned the attempt by the government to deradicalize former Boko Haram members, describing it as a misplacement of priority.
He wondered why the government was resettling and pampering former terrorists while the country is still at war.
The lawmaker further claimed that the recent attack orchestrated by the terrorists in Damboa, Borno state was carried out by a repentant Boko Haram member.
Ndume maintained that the repentant sect members were feeding the group with information regarding the movement of the army.
