Carlo Ancelotti left Vinícius Júnior out of Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chile (Sept. 5) and Bolivia (Sept. 10).

Vinícius faces a suspension for the Chile match, so Ancelotti decided to keep the Real Madrid winger resting in Madrid rather than fly him to South America for a single game.

After beating Paraguay 1–0 in June, they need a positive result in Santiago to strengthen their qualification push.
