Bishop Francis Wale Oke, President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), advised on Monday that a Southern Christian be elected President of Nigeria to ensure unity, stability, and peaceful coexistence in the country.
“If we are interested in the stability of this country,” Bishop Oke said, “the South should produce the next president, and by the South, I mean the South-East, South-West, and South-South.”
Bishop Oke, who is also the President of Sword of the Spirit Ministries and the Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University in Ibadan, Oyo State, added that the country needed a God-fearing and cerebral leader who could understand the complexities of Nigeria’s governance, which has over 500 ethnic nationalities.
