Voting Continues as 14 Aspirants Jostle For APC Presidential Ticket, 8 Others Withdraw | Daily Report Nigeria

A total of 14 presidential apirants are in the race to emerge flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress as delegates continue casting their votes.

A total of 2,322 delegates were accredited to partake in the all important exercise.

The voting exercise which commenced at exactly 12:30 am, still lingers as of the time of filing this report.

The leading 14 aspirants on the race to clinch the party’s ticket are;

  1. Sen. Ahmed Bola Asiwaju Tinubu
  2. Sen. Ahmad Lawan
  3. Sen. Ahmed Sani Yerima
  4. Prof. Ben Ayade
  5. Egnr. Dave Umahi
  6. Sen. Ken Nnamani
  7. Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu
  8. Pastor Tunde Bakare
  9. Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi
  10. Sen. Rochas Okorocha
  11. Mr. Jack Rich
  12. Alh. Yahaya Bello
  13. Chief Ike Obasi
  14. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo

Those who stepped down are as for other aspirants are as follows;

  1. Godswill Akpabio (stepped down for Bola Tinubu)
  2. Sen. Ibikunle Amosun (stepped down for Bola Tinubu)

  5. Sen. Robert Ajayi B.
  6. Alh. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar to (stepped down for Bola Tinubu)
  7. Barr. (Mrs.) Uju Kennedy (stepped down for Bola Tinubu)
  8. Dr. Nicholas Felix (stepped down for Prof. Yemi Osinbajo)

Meanwhile, former minister of education, Emeka Nwajuiba was absent at the APC Presidential Convention.
