The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
The announcement was made on Monday through an official statement published on WAEC’s verified X (formerly Twitter) handle.

According to the examination body, students who participated in the exam can now access their results online through the council’s result-checking platform.
“WAEC is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025,” the statement read.
Candidates have been directed to visit the WAEC result portal at http://waecdirect.org, where they can check their scores by providing their examination information and result checker PINs.
The release of the 2025 WASSCE results comes after weeks of anxious waiting by candidates, their families, and schools across the country.
In total, 1,973,253 students from 23,554 approved secondary schools took part in this year’s examination.

The nomination was made on Monday during a meeting held at the Olubadan Palace, located in Oke-Aremo, within the Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State. However, the newly nominated monarch was not present at the meeting.
