Ugbanabou under Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State has been declared a community under Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom.
This was clarified by Mr Donye David Bedebo, an opinion leader of Ijansa-Ijelejele-Ikeremo, the territory under which Ugbanabou falls under.
Bedebo’s clarification a is direct response to a publication by Alex Ebi Fenimine, wherein the aforementioned alloted Ugbanabou as a Diebiri.
In his publication dated June 4, 2025, on Focal Point News, Fenimine demanded for Ugbanabou to be listed under Diebiri as he sought for a fresh delineation of Warri Federal Constituency by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Reacting to the said publication, Bebebo said Fenimine’s claims were false, insisting that the aforementioned community is solely under the territory of Ijansa-Ijelejele-Ikeremo.
In the statement titled “Re-Delineation: Ugbanabou Clarifies Position – Not Under Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom”, Bebedo said;
“I recently came across a purported publication on the above subject matter, published in FOCALPOINT NEWS on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, and attributed to Mr. Alex Ebi Fenimine.
“The publication claims that the Ogbanabou community is under Diebiri and should be recognised as such.

“In response to the referenced publication, and contrary to its assertions, the entire Ogbanabou land area is exclusively owned by the Izansa community, which is also known as Ijansa/Ijelejele/Ikeremo community within the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria.
“The ownership of the Ogbanabou land area by the Izansa community is a well-known and established fact, acknowledged by the initiators of the said publication, as well as by local, state, and federal authorities.
“The information contained in the publication is not only false but was also maliciously presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in connection with the ongoing delineation exercise, with the intent to mislead the Commission in the performance of its constitutional duties regarding the Ugbanabou land area of the Izansa community.
“The general public, INEC, and all relevant stakeholders are hereby urged to disregard the said publication in its entirety and to refrain from recognising the Ogbanabou community (land area) as being under Diebiri.
“Please note that any individual or organisation, including INEC, that chooses to engage with Mr. Alex Ebi Fenimine—who misrepresents himself in the said publication—does so at their own risk, as the Ogbanabou land area rightfully belongs to the Izansa community of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom”.
