The Zamfara State Police Command has reiterated its efforts to bring bandits to a halt in the state, saying that all security agencies are prepared to deal with them.
SP, the state police spokesman, Mohammed Shehu, a security operative in the state, told reporters that there will be no retreat from the fight against bandits, pointing out that security operatives in the state have been engaging bandits and other criminal elements in fire-for-fire operations.
“We have not relaxed our efforts in the state’s war against bandits, but the residents believe we are not working, which is not true,” he said.

According to him, the state government is unwavering in its support for the security agencies, and he emphasizes that the encouragement is boosting the efforts of the state’s security agencies.
“The state’s police authority has established various police outposts in various areas of the state.”
“As a result of their involvement with the bandits, our members are also dying,” he added.
He promised that peace would be restored in the state, saying that security operatives could not work alone without the full support of the state’s residents.
The police spokesman urged members of the public to provide vital information that would assist security agencies in locating the bandits and their hideouts.
