We’ll Not be Part of Russia/Ukraine Conflict – NATO

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and Polish President Andrzej Duda reaffirmed on Tuesday in a joint press conference that NATO will not send troops to Ukraine.

“NATO is not going to be part of the conflict. NATO is not going to send troops into Ukraine or to move planes into Ukrainian airspace,” expressed Stoltenberg during a visit to Poland’s Lask Air Base.

At the same time, both stated that the alliance stands in solidarity with the East European country. Sanctions will continue to be an essential tool to deter Russian troops. Still, they also mentioned that the allies “will hold both Russia and Belarus accountable for what they are doing.”
