Pope Francis sacks Wenceslas Munyeshyaka
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Pope Francis has sacked a Rwandan-born man, Wenceslas Munyeshyaka, from priesthood.
Munyeshyaka, 64, had been serving as a clergyman in northern France for almost three decades prior to his sack.
His sack was contained in a communiqué signed by the bishop of Évreux which said that, the clergyman “automatically loses clerical rights” and “is excluded” from serving “anywhere else” as a priest.

He was suspended by his diocese in December 2021 after legally acknowledging being a father of a 10-year-old boy.
Wenceslas Munyeshyaka was ordained into priesthood in Rwanda in 1992, and faces allegations aiding the killing of hundreds of Tutsis who fled to his church in the capital, Kigali, during the genocide.
Though, courts in France have cleared him of the genocide charges.
