Wene Port-Harcourt Hospitalised After 5-Day Marathon to Break GWR

Born Promise Nwosu, Wene Port-Harcourt who attempted to break a Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest distance run in five days has been hospitalised.

Daily Report Nigeria reported that Nwosu began his adventure from the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State on October 17.

The 28-year-old arrived at his destination, the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

He completed the 606 km marathon from Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State to Port Harcourt in Rivers State.

However, he was hospitalized after completing the run due to “unimaginable pain.”

He said:

Do I give time, distance to everyone? hour. scar? hour. mistrust? There is still time. Until then, Wene stays home!”

Governor Fubara of Rivers State received him at the gates of Government House, Port Harcourt, and charged youths to stay away from criminality.

Nwosu awaits final judgment from the authorities of Guinness World Records.
