The Nigerian women’s basketball team reached the quarter-finals, a historic achievement as they became the first African team to progress past the group stage in Olympic history. They secured notable victories over basketball powerhouses Australia and Canada in the group stage.
Despite their impressive run, DTigress were eliminated in the quarter-finals by the defending champions, the United States.
