Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka has revealed why he did not play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Saka, who is currently in a holiday visit to Nigeria said he was once close to playing for his country origin before opting to represent England.
In one of the orphanages Saka visited, the 21-year-old was quizzed by a staff why he picked the Three Lions ahead of the Super Eagles.

Saka replied, ‘I will tell you this. I was very close to playing for one of the youth teams in 2019.
“It was the wish of my father but things happen and you have to live with your decisions.
“I feel very much Nigerian and nothing can change that.”
Saka is currently in Lagos as part his holidays schedule and has already visited many slums in the state.

He also met with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who described Saka his favourite Gunners player.
He is also expected to pay a visit to Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu before returning back to England.
