A former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has explained why he backtracked on an initial move to support the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The publisher of Ovation magazine has been locked in social media fight with the ruling party’s supporters over his refusal to support president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Momodu, in a recent post on X said: “I will support a government that appears very reasonable and sympathetic to the citizens of Nigeria,” he wrote on X on Wednesday evening.

“I could have supported APC in 2015 but saw the bad signals early that Buhari was leading us to Golgotha. APC is already astray less than six months now.”

DAILY REPORT NG earlier reported that Momodu claimed he had paid back in fold money given to him by Tinubu during his time in exile.
