Two months after the Lagos State Police Command exhumed the body of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad for autopsy conduction, it has revealed why the result is not out.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin told Punch on Monday that the command had yet to get the report officially.
Hundeyin said:

“The autopsy report has not been given to us. Some people have been carrying rumours that it’s ready. It’s one thing for it to be ready, it’s another thing for it to be given to us officially – that we would receive and sign a copy that we have received it. So, we don’t work with rumours, we work with facts.”
Recall that the Police Spokesperson had tweeted in September that an “autopsy has been concluded” and the police were “awaiting result.”
Police had also revealed that the autopsy of the Mohbad was completed in the presence of family members.
The autopsy was conducted by medical experts, and vital specimens were taken and sent to the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre for toxicology examination.
The police commissioner has confirmed that the investigation team has covered enough ground to support the processing of the case even though the autopsy result is still being awaited.
Mohbad was a prominent Nigerian singer who passed away under mysterious circumstances on September 12, 2023.
A police source had told newsmen that investigators had established that the musician was beaten by the same people who always threatened and harangued him, after a show he had in Ikorodu.
He was said to have sustained injuries following the beating, leading him to seek the services of a nurse at home.
