Wife Stabs Husband's Nephew To Death For Breaking Mirror | Daily Report Nigeria

A woman has been arrested for stabbing her husband’s nephew to death over a misunderstanding.

The woman, Cynthia Olukiowu, 30, of 2, Apogidonoyo street, Jafa Agbado, Ogun State, is reported to have stabbed a 18-year-old teenager, Habeeb Aremu to death after accusing him of breaking a mirror.

It was gathered that a disagreement had ensued between the duo, Cynthia and Habeeb, and this angered the woman who proceeded to picking a knife from the kitchen which she used to stab the boy to death.

Confirming the incident on Sunday, Ogun State police image maker, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed that the allegation about the broken mirror “led to a disagreement between the deceased and his uncle’s wife, subsequent upon which the suspect took a kitchen knife and used it to stab the deceased on his neck.”

Opeyemi also added that the DPO of Agbado division, CSP Kehinde Kuranga, upon receiving the distress call had immediately discharged his men to the scene where the suspect was arrested.

He explained that the victim was met in his own pool of blood, and was subsequently rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead, and his corpse was deposited at Ifo General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

 

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Lanre Bankole, had ordered transfer of the suspect to the homicide section of the State CIID for further investigation and diligent prosecution
