BREAKING: ‘I Didn’t Send Anybody’, Wike Denies Lawsuit Against Atiku

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has denied suing the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The governor distanced himself from reports that he had dragged Atiku, and Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State before an Abuja Federal High Court.

The report said Governor Wike, alongside another PDP member filed the lawsuit before the Wuse Division, to challenge the outcome of the presidential primary election that produced Atiku.

The PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission were also listed as defendants in the purported suit.

Wike, who denied knowledge of the said suit, said he never authorized anyone to file a suit on his behalf.

“I don’t know anything about the so called suit. I did not ask anyone to file any suit for me.”

“I don’t know the lawyers. Am I a kid to be filing a suit at this time? I had 14 days after the primary within which to have filed any suit. I didn’t do that then, is it two months after primary I will file a suit?” he queried.

The former presidential candidate also denied reports of pulling down PDP flags from the Rivers Government House on Thursday.

“just yesterday they came up with the claim that I ordered my Chief Security Officer to pull down PDP flag in Government House. This is all false, it’s all propaganda. Some people are trying to use me to win the election. Please disregard all these lies,” he added.
