Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has cautioned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors against interfering in the party’s affairs in his state. Wike, who is also the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, gave the warning on Saturday at the PDP Secretariat in Port Harcourt during the party’s state congress.

“Let me assure you, nobody will take away the structure of PDP from us. I hear some governors say they will take over the structure and give it to somebody. I pity those governors because I will put fire in their states,” Wike said.
He condemned the call by PDP governors for a review of the party congress outcome to restore Governor Sim Fubara’s leadership role in the state. Wike charged PDP governors to stay clear of the party’s affairs in Rivers, threatening to retaliate if they interfere.
