How Nigeria Lost Their Lead

Osimhen’s Goal Gave Nigeria Hope

The Super Eagles took the lead in the 74th minute when Victor Osimhen scored a well-taken goal.

The Napoli striker finished confidently, and fans believed Nigeria was on course for victory.

Ndidi’s Missed Chance

Shortly after Osimhen’s goal, Wilfred Ndidi had a great chance to score Nigeria’s second goal.

With just the goalkeeper to beat, the Leicester City midfielder missed, keeping Zimbabwe in the game.

Zimbabwe’s Late Equalizer

The miss proved costly as Zimbabwe found a way back.

In the 90th minute, substitute Tawanda Chirewa took advantage of Nigeria’s poor defense and scored the equalizer.

The stadium went silent as Nigeria dropped two crucial points in their World Cup qualification campaign.
