The clip quickly made waves, drawing praise from fans and fellow professionals alike.

Currently playing for Leicester City in England, Ndidi said the gift was his personal way of appreciating Ugbade’s early mentorship.

> “Coach Ugbade played a huge role in my life. He believed in me when no one else did. This is just my little way of saying thank you,” said Ndidi.

His act of gratitude struck a chord with many, especially in a football culture where grassroots coaches often go unnoticed.

Fans and pundits across Nigeria hailed it as a rare and refreshing display of humility.

At 55, Ugbade holds an impressive legacy in Nigerian football.

He was part of the iconic Nigerian U-17 team that won the inaugural FIFA U-17 World Cup in 1985, defeating West Germany 2–0 in the final.

Ndidi’s gift wasn’t just a car ; it was a reminder that behind every successful athlete is someone who believed in them early on.

By honoring Coach Ugbade, Ndidi shone a light on the crucial, often overlooked role grassroots mentors play in shaping football stars.

In a sport filled with glitz and headlines, this simple, powerful act told a bigger story — one of gratitude, respect, and remembering where you started.
