It is over a year since the ‘MIL’ album was released, but one of the songs on the album is breaking records upon records.

‘Essence’ is the third Wizkid’s song to appear on the music chart, behind ‘One Dance.’

Starboy record label Boss cracked the US top 50 charts with ‘Essence’ on July 31, 2021. A day before July 31, it rose to No. 67 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Superstar who collaborated with Tems on the song must be delighted with the project as it has risen astonishingly.

Over the years, the Nigerian Music industry has risen to the top and even dragging with the American music industry.

However, with musicians like Wizkid and Burnaboy, who challenge themselves all the time and the rising stars from Nigeria, I don’t see Nigeria dropping down.

Tems is making her first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart due to her collaboration with Starboy.
