Woman Bags 10 Years Imprisonment For Burning Husband To Death Over Infidelity

A woman has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for the death of her husband.

According to reports, the woman, identified as Sindiaso Ndlovu, 43, from Maphisa, Kezi in Zimbabwe was said to have set her husband ablaze over infidelity issues.

The Bulawayo High Court convicted Ndlovu under Section 47 of the Criminal Law Act Chapter 9:23.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on October 19, 2019, where Ndlovu set her husband, Busani Ncube on fire following a heated argument. She was said to have locked the bedroom door, poured petrol on Ncube, and set him alight.

The police were alerted, and she was subsequently arrested and was charged with attempted murder, but her husband, who was transferred to United Bulawayo Hospitaldies on January 8, from complications.

Tye charges were upgraded from attempted murder to murder, and after a four-year trial, the court handed down a 10-year jail sentence.
