A woman identified as Blessing Eno has been arrested by the police for allegedly beheading her 11-month-old son.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday at Ugep in the Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State.
As at the time of filling this report the circumstances surrounding the incident has not be ascertained.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Irene Ugbo, said the woman had been arrested.
“Investigation is on to ascertain the reason for her action. But what we heard is that she is mentally deranged,” Ugbo said.
It was gathered that the police prevented a mob from lynching the woman by taking her into custody.
