A woman, alongside her infant have been rescued from a fire outbreak in Kwara state.

The duo were rescued after their building went up in flames, causing panic in the neighborhood.
A fire outbreak in Kwara state has added to the list of fire outbreaks around Nigeria, as firefighters battle to save a woman and her infant.
The outbreak was reported to have happened at No. 8 Aiyegbede Street, Awolowo, Tanke, Ilorin, while the mother and her baby we’re sleeping.
Confirming the incident, the Kwara State Fire Service, through a statement released by its Head of Media and Publicity noted that the fire started around 1.45 pm, and both mother and child were woken up by the alarm raised by neighbors.
The statement reads;
The fire crew responded immediately and swiftly commenced firefighting operations upon arrival. The affected structure was a two-flat residential building, consisting of a three-bedroom flat and a two-bedroom flat. Fortunately, only the sitting room of the two-bedroom flat sustained fire damage,”
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was first noticed by Mr Owolabi, who promptly alerted other residents. Thanks to their quick response, a mother and her child, who were asleep at the time, were rescued unharmed. The incident was traced to a power surge.

“The Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John, sympathized with the affected occupants and emphasized the importance of fire safety precautions at all times.
“He also commended the residents for their bravery in assisting the victims and encouraged the public to always look out for one another in times of emergency.”

Taking to his Instagram page, he shared a post which depicted an hint of him planning to end it all by tomorrow.
