Woman Remanded in Prison For Attacking Husband

Hafsa Ibrahim, a Kano woman, has been remanded by a Shari’a Court for hitting her husband, Jamilu Muhammad, with a local pressing iron.

The woman also cut 90 sets of her husband’s clothes to pieces.

She was alleged to have taken the action after she suspected her husband was chatting with other women on his phone.

The prosecutor, Usman Shuaibu Dala, informed the court that Hafsa injured Muhammad by hitting him in the head with a local iron.

The prosecutor further told the court that Hafsa used scissors to cut 90 sets of his clothes to pieces and seized his handset worth N80,000.

However, Hafsa denied the allegations.

The case was adjourned to 11 December 2023 by he Khadi, Umar Sunusi Dan Baba.
