A disturbing incident has occurred in Gadon Kaya Damatsiri, Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State, where a 6-year-old girl, Sherifat Usman was stabbed by her neighbour, Fatima Malam.

The middle-aged woman reportedly stabbed Usman multiple times in her stomach over an alleged plan by her father to advise the culprit’s husband to take another wife.

However, Fatima’s husband, Mallam claimed that his wife was mentally deranged.

According to reports, Fatima had lured Sherifat to escort her to Mariri in Kumbotso Local Government Area where she executed her plan.

A source said:
“On their way to Mariri, Fatima bought a kitchen knife on credit. She took Sherifat to an uncompleted building where she stabbed her severally on her stomach with the sole intention to kill her.

“Fatima wanted to kill Sherifat because she felt her father was the one instigating her husband to get a second wife.

“Fatima has been acting strange in recent times. Some weeks ago, she brought out a pestle one evening threatening that she would kill somebody if her husband eventually takes another wife.”

The State Police Command also confirmed the stabbing of a little girl, by the fleeing culprit.

It was said that the incident occurred in an uncompleted building and the little girl was rescued by passers-by who heard her cry.

Meanwhile, a graphic video of Sherifat undergoing treatment was shared on Facebook by Aisha Mohammed, who also reported that Fatima has been arrested.
