A five-storey building has been left in ruins after it collapsed in Abakaliki.
It was gathered that the workers escaped luckily after the building, which was almost completed collapsed in Ngbabor, near Ebonyi State University’s Presco campus in Abakaliki on Tuesday, June 7 at around 2 p.m.
According to an eyewitness, the workers ran out of the building when it began to vibrate before it eventually collapsed.

Confirming the incident on Wednesday, June 8, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, Chris Anyanwu said “no casualty was recorded.”
Meanwhile, experts from the government have visited the collapsed structure to determine the cause of the tragedy. There was also a team of police officers and Ebubeagu operatives on the scene.
