Messi’s club teammate, Kylian Mbappe also earned the Golden Boot after scoring 8 goals, including a hat-trick in the final.
The French forward also contributed with two assists in seven games.
Other individual award winners were Emiliano Martinez, who scooped the Golden Glove to emerge best goalkeeper.
Also, Argentine young midfielder, Enzo Fernandez was crowned Young Player of the World Cup.
