Ngozi is the leading candidate on the race to the new Director-General of the World Trade Organization with a commanding lead over South Korean Trade Minister, Yoo Myung-hee.
Her announcement is only delayed by an opposition of her emergence by the United States, who prefers the South Korean Trade Minister to lead the WTO.
